Artful design, lasting craft
Clay is the foundation of our work. In our Fresno studio, ceramic artists Bibi Bielat and Cathy Caracciolo collaborate to transform clay into objects designed for daily life: studio pottery, ceramic lamps, raku pieces, and sculptural works. Each piece draws on the textures and rhythms of the natural world, blending utility and artistry for enduring, lived-in beauty.

From Clay to Art with Bibi Bielat & Cathy Caracciolo
We’re all about good vibes and joyful making. We like to have fun and enjoy our time in our home studio. Our pieces carry personality—playful, spirited, and proudly handcrafted.
Raku Octopus
Each octopus is shaped by hand and brought to life through raku firing, a process that leaves every piece distinct. The interplay of texture, form, and color makes each one a singular treasure.
Serveware
Our functional ceramics are designed to make meals feel special. Clean lines, balanced forms, and thoughtful details allow bowls and plates to move easily from daily use to festive gatherings.
Vases
Every ceramic vase we make is slightly different. Crafted in our Fresno studio, they stand beautifully on their own or filled with flowers, striking a balance between classic design and individuality.
Planters
Handmade studio pottery planters give plants a home that feels intentional. Each one is built with durability in mind while carrying the character of hand-shaped clay.
Lamps
A ceramic lamp can transform a room. Wheel-thrown and finished by hand, ours are both sculptural and functional, giving off warmth while acting as statement pieces in any space.
Wabi Sabi
We often turn to the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi ceramics, which honors imperfection and natural change. A glaze drip, a subtle asymmetry, a crackle in the surface; these are not flaws, but part of what makes each piece alive and unrepeatable.
Sculpture
Cathy’s sculptural work often takes cues from the landscape; seed pods, stones, riverbeds. These pieces blur the line between art pottery and nature, carrying both discipline and spontaneity. Each sculpture invites a slower look, drawing the eye to layers of texture and quiet intensity.
Raku
Raku firing is unpredictable, and that’s where its magic lies. Pots are pulled from the kiln while still red-hot and placed into combustible materials, which leave behind smoky textures, shifting colors, and patterns that can’t be repeated. From octopus sculptures to vessels shaped by organic forms, our raku pottery is never the same twice. Each piece records a moment where fire, clay, and chance come together.
